Official: Al Ahly Extends Roger Ibanez's Contract Until 2030

Al Ahli has renewed the contract of Brazilian defender Roger Ibanez, ensuring his stay with the club until 2030, a move that reflects the management's confidence in his abilities and crucial role in the backline. The club announced the extension through its official account on X, featuring a video message confirming the Brazilian defender's continued journey with the team in the coming years. Ibanez has established himself as a key player since joining Al Ahli, showcasing impressive defensive performances and maintaining consistency, making him one of the players the team relies on regularly. The Brazilian defender has contributed to Al Ahli's success by helping the club secure three titles during his tenure, having participated in winning the AFC Champions League twice, in addition to the Saudi Super Cup. Ibanez joined Al Ahli in the summer of 2023 from AS Roma, signing a four-season contract at that time, before the management successfully extended his stay until 2030. Al Ahli is preparing to kick off its campaign in the Roshn Saudi League for the 2026-2027 season when they face Al Diriyah on August 13 at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, as part of the opening round.
