Al Ahly FC have suffered a significant blow as their player Eduard Spertsyan has sustained an Achilles tendon injury, which will keep him out of action for the coming weeks and deprive the team of his contributions in several competitions.

NEWS am Sport reported that the player needs a treatment and rehabilitation period that could last up to four weeks, confirming his absence from important commitments in the upcoming period.

Eduard Spertsyan has been ruled out of Armenia's matches against Cyprus and Latvia, as part of the UEFA Nations League, meaning the national team will lose one of its key players during these fixtures.

The absence of the midfielder is a loss for Al Ahly FC, especially as he holds an important position in coach Marino Pusic's plans, who has relied on him regularly during local and Asian competitions.

Eduard Spertsyan is expected to undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program in the coming period, aiming to recover from an Achilles tendon injury and regain his fitness before returning to training and matches.

The player's absence coincides with the international break, during which Boussitsh decided to give Al Ahly FC players a seven-day break from training.

The coach's decision comes as the Saudi national team is set to play two friendly matches in preparation for upcoming challenges, based on the wishes of head coach Georgios Donis.
