The Portuguese player Bernardo Silva spoke for the first time as a member of Real Madrid during the Portuguese national team's training camp in the United States, emphasizing that his full focus is currently on his country's journey in the World Cup.

Bernardo Silva said: "I will not answer any questions related to Real Madrid because I am going through a very important period with the national team. I am happy, but my full focus is with Portugal, and the coming weeks will be dedicated solely to the national team."

Regarding the possibility of sitting on the bench, he explained: "I understand the question, but we all came with one goal, which is to serve the national team. The coach faces a tough task in selecting the lineup, and I have been through such situations throughout my career. Of course, I want to play, and I believe I can help the team. I will be ready whether I participate for five minutes or am in the locker room."

He also addressed the criticisms faced by the Portuguese national team, saying: "We are used to it, as this is the nature of football, especially with the national team. We have to avoid fluctuations and maintain stability, and learn from mistakes. The World Cup is a tough tournament for all teams, and there are things we need to improve, but we have confidence in ourselves and our ability to achieve positive results."

Regarding the conditions in which the tournament is held, Bernardo Silva confirmed that all teams compete under the same circumstances, adding: "This cannot be considered an excuse. The stadiums are good, and we must focus on what we can control and prepare in the best possible way."

Regarding his role within the team, he said: "It is not my duty to comment on the coach's decisions, as he is the one in charge. We have to give our best, maintain a positive atmosphere within the group, and be ready when the opportunity comes."

He concluded by mentioning his preferred position on the field, saying: "I have played in several positions throughout my career, but I feel more comfortable in the central position, although I am always ready to play in any position the coach needs me in to help the team."
