Barcelona club managed to officially announce the signing deal with the young English star Anthony Gordon, making him part of the list of the most expensive deals in the history of the Catalan club.

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Gordon's deal was valued at 70 million euros, in addition to 10 million euros as variables and incentives, placing him seventh among the most expensive contracts Barcelona has made throughout its history.

The list is topped by the French star Ousmane Dembele with a deal worth 140 million euros, followed by the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho and the Spanish-French Antoine Griezmann, each valued at 135 million euros, then the Brazilian Neymar at 87 million euros, and the Dutch Frenkie de Jong at 86 million euros.

In sixth place was Luis Suarez at 81.7 million euros, seventh was Anthony Gordon, in eighth was Zlatan Ibrahimovic at 66 million euros, then Raphinha at 58 million euros + 9 million as variables, and Miralem Pjanic at 60 million euros + 5 million as add-ons.

Gordon's joining reflects the level of confidence Barcelona places in the abilities of the English player, who is expected to be a strong addition to the forward line in the coming seasons, as the club seeks to regain its European prestige and compete for all titles.
