Paris Saint-Germain Equals Barcelona's Historic Record in the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain equaled a historic record held by Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League during the final match against Arsenal.

This came after the Parisian team fell behind early in the sixth minute with a goal scored by Kai Havertz for Arsenal, before making a comeback in the match, with Ousmane Dembélé scoring the equalizer from a penalty in the second half.

According to "Foot Mercato," Paris Saint-Germain has equaled Barcelona's record for the number of goals scored in a single edition of the UEFA Champions League, with the Catalan club having scored 45 goals in the 1999/2000 season.

The same source pointed out that this figure was achieved under different circumstances, as the tournament system at that time was different from the current system, which includes eight matches in the league stage.
