Cagliari Withdraws from Purchasing Kılıçsoy and Halts Negotiations with Beşiktaş

The journey of young Turkish striker Semih Kilisoy with Cagliari is nearing its end, as the Italian club's management has decided not to activate the purchase option of 12 million euros from Beşiktaş during the current summer transfer window.

Kilisoy moved to Cagliari last summer on a loan for one million euros, with an option to purchase him permanently for 12 million euros, in addition to bonuses and a resale percentage.

Despite the positive start of the 20-year-old striker and his scoring of several important goals in the Italian league, the player gradually lost his place in the lineup in recent months, prompting Cagliari's management to reassess the deal and not proceed with activating the purchase option.

Reports have also indicated that talks between the two clubs are currently stalled, as there is no agreement on reducing the deal's value or modifying its financial terms, while the player is initially preparing to return to Beşiktaş at the end of the loan.

This development is relatively surprising, especially after previous statements from Cagliari officials who confirmed their desire to retain the player permanently, before the technical circumstances changed in the final weeks of the season.
