Algeria national team targets new talent in Italy
Ibrahim Hamdani, the coach of the Algeria national team, is moving to bolster the ranks of the "Desert Warriors" with new elements, having not been entirely convinced by what the team delivered during the first gathering, particularly in midfield, according to French website "Foot Mercato".
According to the website, citing the Algerian newspaper "Compétition", Yanis Massoulin, the 24-year-old midfielder who plays for Cagliari on loan from Inter Milan, has been included in the list of targets to strengthen the Algerian national team.
Masoulin, standing at 1.97 meters tall, is distinguished by his great physical strength, along with his agility and technical ability to handle the ball. These qualities could make him an important addition to the Algeria national team's midfield.
Despite the Algeria football federation monitoring the player since his time in Belgium, his inclusion in the national team does not seem imminent, as he has not yet completed the necessary administrative procedures to represent Algeria. Consequently, he is not expected to be available for the matches against Togo on November 14 and 17, as part of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, unless there are developments regarding his administrative status.
