Chelsea Football Club has intensified its long-standing interest in defender Joel Ordonez over the weekend, with "TEAMtalk" reporting that scouts from the club attended in Brussels to watch the player in the Club Brugge match.

The 22-year-old defender participated in Club Brugge's 3-1 victory over Anderlecht on Sunday, a result that kept the team at the top of the final stages of the Belgian Pro League in their pursuit of the title.

Chelsea has been monitoring the player for several years, having started observing him since 2022 before his move to Club Brugge, and has continued to follow him consistently since then.

According to the same sources, the club expressed its admiration for Ordonez's development in Belgium, where he gained significant experience, including participating in the UEFA Champions League, and evolved to become one of the top defenders in the league.
