Officially.. Burnley Announces Departure of Its Coach
Thursday 30-04-2026
Burnley Football Club announced today, Thursday, in an official statement on its website, the departure of its coach Scott Parker from his position as the team's manager, by mutual consent.

The club clarified that the decision came after Burnley's relegation from the English Premier League was confirmed last week, as the coach held meetings with the board and it was agreed to end the relationship between the two parties.

During his leadership of the team, Parker delivered an exceptional season with Burnley in the 2024/2025 season, leading the team to promotion to the Premier League from the Championship. He achieved a historic streak of 33 unbeaten matches, along with maintaining 30 clean sheets.

The club expressed its gratitude to the coach for his professionalism, commitment, and effort throughout his tenure, emphasizing that he departs with full respect and appreciation within the club.

Burnley also announced that interim coach Mike Jackson, supported by the current technical staff, will lead the team in the remaining four matches of the season, starting with the away game against Leeds United on Friday.

At the same time, the club has begun the process of searching for a new coach to lead the team in the upcoming 2026/2027 season.
