Chelsea forward returns to continue rehabilitation programme

Dastan Satbaev will temporarily leave Burnley to return to Chelsea for rehabilitation after the injury he sustained during the match against Middlesbrough.

The Kazakh forward suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to leave the pitch, missing Burnley's next match against Bristol City.

Burnley manager Nicky Hein has confirmed that Satbayev will be out for several weeks, noting that the player did not undergo a full pre-season preparation before the start of the season, which necessitates a cautious approach to his physical condition.

Satbayev has joined Burnley on loan from Chelsea until the end of the 2026-2027 season, as part of the London club's plan to give him more opportunities to participate and develop.
