The Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish League announced a severe penalty on Rayo Vallecano player Isi Palazon following the events of his team's match against Real Sociedad, which ended with his expulsion due to strong protests against the referee's decisions.

The details of the incident involve the player entering the field from the bench to protest against the referee in the final minutes of the match, before making remarks considered offensive along with inappropriate gestures towards the referee, as documented in the official match report.

Accordingly, the committee decided to suspend the player for two matches due to the red card and protests, in addition to four more matches for verbal abuse and insulting behavior, plus an additional match due to the accumulation of yellow cards, bringing the total suspension to seven matches.

It is expected that Isi Palazón will miss the start of the next season with Rayo Vallecano, as the club intends to file an appeal to reduce or partially overturn the penalty before the final decision is made.
