Real Madrid thrash Rayo Vallecano 4-1 in La Liga
Real Madrid achieved a big and deserved win against their guests Rayo Vallecano with a score of 4-1 in the match that took place this evening at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, as part of the fifth round of the Spanish league.
With this victory, Real Madrid has moved up to 12 points, temporarily occupying second place in the La Liga table, while Rayo Vallecano remains on 4 points in fifteenth place for the time being.
Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 14th minute, successfully converting a penalty won by Álvaro Careras. Real Madrid did not take long to extend their lead, as Álvaro Careras managed to score the second goal in the 17th minute, following an assist from Kylian Mbappé.
In the 35th minute, Jude Bellingham added Real Madrid's third goal after Vinícius Júnior made a remarkable individual effort before sending in a low cross, which the English star converted into the net.
Rayo Vallecano attempted to come back in the second half, and they indeed succeeded in reducing the deficit in the 51st minute through Sergio Camello, who capitalised on a mistake from Vinícius before firing the ball into the net from inside the penalty area against Real Madrid.
Mbappé capped off the goal fest with a fourth goal in the 91st minute after a quick counter-attack that ended with a pass from Camavinga to Güler, who in turn passed it to Mbappé, who fired it into the net from inside the penalty area.
