Referee appointed for Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga
The Technical Referees Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has appointed referee Victor García Verdugo to manage the match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, set to take place tomorrow in LaLiga.
García Ferndura will officiate his third match in LaLiga this season, while it will be the fifth match he leads for Real Madrid in the competition.
Real Madrid have recorded three wins and one defeat in their last four matches officiated by this referee, with the loss coming in their last encounter, when they fell to Albacete 3-2 in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey last season. Their last match with the team in LaLiga dates back over two years, ending in a 3-0 victory for Real Madrid against Valladolid.
And in contrast, García Fernández managed eight matches for Rayo Vallecano, achieving three wins, four draws, and one defeat. The loss came against Villarreal during the 2024/2025 season, while his last match with Rayo was a 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao in the 26th round of last season.
Juan Luis Pulido Santana will take on the role of Video Assistant Referee during the match.
