Although his recent goal against Getafe came during a counterattack as a forward leaning to the left, Rashford participated in the match from the right wing instead of Rony Bardghji, in the position usually occupied by Lamine Yamal, and succeeded in giving his team clear offensive depth from that side.

Rashford prefers to play on the left side as he is right-footed, excelling in penetrating towards the center and utilizing his shooting strength, and has sometimes participated as a striker to take advantage of his speed. However, his participation on the right side remains a tactical option, especially in the absence of Lamine Yamal due to injury.
