The 37-year-old Lewandowski suffered a major blow after Poland was eliminated from the World Cup qualifying playoffs against Sweden with a 3-2 defeat, in a match decided by Viktor Gyökeres' goal, shattering the veteran striker's dream of playing in his third World Cup in his international career.

The player did not hide his deep disappointment with this result, appearing visibly upset, and he has not yet decided whether that match marks the end of his international journey, after playing 165 matches with his national team and scoring 89 goals.

Despite the shock, Lewandowski did not take long to regain his focus, as he quickly returned to Barcelona's ranks, and just four days later, he scored the winning goal against Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Metropolitano Stadium, leading his team a significant step towards clinching the La Liga title eight rounds before the end.
