Balde awaits new opportunity with Barcelona against Alavés
Alejandro Balde is hoping to return to the starting lineup for FC Barcelona against Alavés on Saturday, with Xavi Espart injured and Jules Koundé ruled out for the match.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Hans Flick may give Alejandro Balde another chance after excluding him from his plans, despite the player insisting on staying at FC Barcelona and ignoring interest from Manchester United and other offers.
Flick has clarified that Balde was not fully fit before the start of LaLiga and decided to keep him at FC Barcelona until he can reorganize his thoughts.
The player has not started a match since May 23, when he played as a starter against Valencia. Since then, he has sat on the bench for seven league matches without participating, before getting minutes against Real Madrid, having played for 12 minutes against Racing and 16 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish newspaper indicated that the player's future during the upcoming winter transfer window remains uncertain, and the match against Alavés could represent an important opportunity for him to regain his form and convince Flick once again of his ability to contribute to the team.
