Barcelona plan to sell 3 stars to fund new striker deal
FC Barcelona plans to offload three of its players, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Frenkie de Jong, to raise funds for a new striker in the upcoming period, as the management seeks to strengthen the team's attacking options.
Barcelona's sporting director Deco aims to raise around €150 million from the sale of three players, with Gavi's market value estimated at €50 million, Alejandro Balde at €40 million, and Frenkie de Jong at €60 million.
This move comes as part of FC Barcelona's plans to bolster their centre-forward position, with the English club targeting Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker, as one of their prominent objectives, and they aspire to secure his services in the upcoming phase.
However, FC Barcelona will not make a serious move to sign Harry Kane unless he does not renew his contract with Bayern Munich, which expires in June 2027. This makes the English striker's future with the German club a decisive factor in the possibility of completing the transfer.
FC Barcelona attempted to sign Julián Alvarez from Atlético last summer, but the deal did not happen due to the refusal of the rojiblancos to part with the player.
