Barcelona stars Raphinha and Pedri have been affected by injuries this season, resulting in a decrease in their participation compared to last season, according to a report by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

Raphinha suffered an injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his right leg, sidelining him for five weeks, which is a significant blow to the team led by Hans Flick. The Brazilian player, who was a standout performer for the team in the 2024/2025 season, scoring 34 goals and providing 23 assists, has been unable to maintain his consistency this season due to being absent four times, including a period from late September until the end of November.

As a result, Raphinha ranked twelfth in terms of playing minutes this season with a total of 2015 minutes, whereas last season he topped the list with a total of 4661 minutes. Meanwhile, Pedri, who also faced injury issues, ranked tenth with a total of 2305 minutes, having missed three weeks in November and a whole month from late January, while following a special training program to reduce body fatigue.

Raphinha and Pedri have started together in only 18 out of 46 official matches, achieving 16 wins and 2 draws without any losses. Their last two matches together in the league were against Sevilla, winning 5-2, and Rayo Vallecano, winning 1-0.

Bao Kubarsi now tops the list of players with the most minutes played, with a total of 3,331 minutes, followed by Lamine Yamal with 3,297, Juan Garcia with 3,232, Eric Garcia with 3,230, and Jules Kounde with 3,008. Despite the decrease in minutes for Raphinha and Pedri, the trio of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Pedri remain the core pillars of Barcelona. Meanwhile, Hans Flick had to rely on other players to compensate for their absence, which contributed to the team having seven more points compared to the same period last season.
