Barcelona Chooses St. George's Park for Pre-Season Training Camp
Tuesday 31-03-2026
Barcelona has decided on the location for its summer training camp in preparation for the upcoming season, settling on St. George's Park in England, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.

The newspaper explained that this decision came after considering all available options by coach Hans Flick, who preferred this location due to the suitable climate, quality facilities, and infrastructure, as well as its proximity to Derby, making it an ideal place for the team's preparations.

The Spanish newspaper added that Barcelona decided not to tour the United States in the summer of 2026, as happened last year, due to the crowded global football schedule, with the World Cup for national teams taking place until mid-July.

In this context, the Catalan club will compensate for the lack of financial revenues from summer tours by playing some limited friendly matches during the camp period, especially since the previous tour generated approximately 20 million euros.

Barcelona's management had studied several European destinations for a traditional camp, including Germany and the United Kingdom, considering locations like St. Andrews and St. George's Park, before finally settling on the latter option.

Flick is expected to hold a meeting with Deco next week to finalize the camp dates, even though the destination choice has already been made, as St. George's Park is considered an ideal option for preparing the team before the new season begins.
