Statements by Moatamed Gamal Before the Match Against Otoho in the Confederation Cup
Zamalek coach Moatamed Gamal spoke about his team's upcoming match against Congolese team Otoho in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
The match between Zamalek and Otoho in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals will be held tomorrow, Sunday, at the Cairo International Stadium.
The first leg match between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the press conference before the match, Moatamed Gamal said: "On paper, things are in favor of Zamalek, and it is difficult to rely on the result of the first leg that took place in Brazzaville, Congo. We are facing a strong opponent, and we are focused on achieving a positive result from the start of the match to make things easier for ourselves."
He added: "The players and the coaching staff are aware of the difficulty of the match, and we constantly talk to the players about the importance of the encounter. The first leg had a different atmosphere because the weather was very challenging and the condition of the pitch was also difficult."
He continued: "Things will be different in tomorrow's match compared to the first leg, and we have made sure to prepare the team in the best way possible for the match against Otoho tomorrow. I hope the Zamalek fans will be proud of their team."
He concluded: "The Zamalek fans hold great value for me, and I feel very reassured when they are present in the stands. I hope we can bring them much joy in tomorrow's match."
