The German coach of Barcelona, Hans Flick, held his press conference before facing Sevilla in the 28th round of the Spanish League, which will take place on Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou. He addressed several topics related to the team and its preparations for the match.

Flick said: 'Eric Garcia did not play against Atletico Madrid and was also unavailable against Newcastle. Gerard Martin has improved a lot in terms of focus and mental level, and I'm happy with what he has shown in training and matches. The same goes for Koubarcy, I am very satisfied with their performance.'

Regarding Frenkie de Jong's return, Flick continued: 'We trust that De Jong will return after the international break, and everything is going well with him.'

Concerning the recent Newcastle match, the coach added: 'Sometimes we learn from defeats, like our loss to Atletico Madrid. We played four matches in eleven days, and there are players returning from injuries, and everything takes time. Pedri, Raphinha, and Marcus Rashford performed well, and none of these matches were easy, so I think we did a good job.'

On the possibility of Xavi Espart, Kounde, and Balde participating, Flick said: 'All players can be part of the starting lineup. Xavi trained with us and became an available option, while Balde and Kounde will not be able to play.'

Regarding the condition of player Rony, he added: 'A few minutes is not a problem; he is a professional and does an excellent job in training, despite the tough competition in the team.'

As for the duo Ferran Torres and Lewandowski, the coach said: 'The current time is suitable for their return, and we are on the right path.'

In a special statement about Gavi's return, Flick said: 'I'm happy with his return; we must handle him step by step. We saw him in training, and I liked his condition, but we must manage things wisely. Gavi trusts his body and his ability to play, and we all know his intense personality and what he offers to the team.'

Flick emphasized the importance of focusing on upcoming matches, saying: 'We are 100% focused on the next match. We have three more encounters, and our goal is to win every match at home. Sevilla is a strong team; they have beaten us before and apply high pressure, so we want to win.'
