The Spanish club Sevilla announced the departure of its Serbian captain Nemanja Gudelj at the end of this June, following a mutual agreement between both parties to end his journey with the team after seven seasons spent within the Andalusian club.

Gudelj joined Sevilla in the summer of 2019 at the age of 27, before extending his contract in 2023 for three additional seasons. The player leaves the club at the age of 34, having become one of the team's most prominent leaders and influential players in recent years.

The Serbian international played 261 official matches for Sevilla, including 196 in La Liga, 23 in the Copa del Rey, 21 in the UEFA Europa League, 19 in the UEFA Champions League, and two in the UEFA Super Cup. He also won the UEFA Europa League twice, first in 2020 and again in 2023, contributing to one of the club's most successful continental periods.

Despite his defensive position, Gudelj succeeded in scoring 10 goals with Sevilla and remained a key player for the Serbian national team, where he played 53 international matches during his time with the club. He participated in the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship, concluding a distinguished career during which he earned the respect of Sevilla's fans and his teammates.
