Robertson: We Corrected League Match Mistakes, and We Aim to Compete for All Championships
Andy Robertson, Liverpool star, expressed his happiness with his team's victory over Wolverhampton with three goals to one, in the FA Cup Round of 16 match, confirming that the team succeeded in correcting the mistakes of the previous encounter between the two teams in the English Premier League.
Robertson said: "This is much better, we know we let ourselves down on Tuesday, and that was not the performance we expect from ourselves, and we had to correct the situation, the FA Cup is a crucial tournament for us."
He continued: "I couldn't have struck the ball better than in the goal I scored, I had the opportunity, and luckily I hit it accurately, we are very happy to qualify now."
He added: "I'm not sure if I have to prove something with the Liverpool jersey, the fans know that I do my best in this jersey, and when you enter the field, all you want is to enjoy playing, and that's the reality, and Milos Kerkez is a fantastic left-back."
He continued: "Kerkez had an exceptional season with Bournemouth last season, and adapting to a big club might take some time, but the club must move forward, the players who have been here for a long time are no longer young, and that must be accepted, I have faced competition throughout my football career."
Robertson concluded his statements by saying: "We strive to compete on all fronts, and we are still competing in two tournaments, and if we played tonight, no one would want to face us, but we have to show this consistency in performance, it is a step forward sometimes followed by two steps back."
