Chelsea Loses Against Arsenal, James Reyes Talks About Improvement
Sunday 01-03-2026
Chelsea star James Reece appeared in a press statement following the 2-1 loss against Arsenal in the 28th round of the English Premier League, held at the Emirates Stadium.

The player said in his interview: "It's frustrating to leave with nothing. When the score was 1-1, we had a slight chance to score the second goal, but their goalkeeper saved the ball brilliantly, and they got a set-piece and managed to score."

He added about the importance of set pieces: "This is football today in 2026, 90% of goals probably come from set pieces. Arsenal is one of the best teams in the world in this area, it's hard to stop them, they scored two goals today. We are disappointed. But we scored a goal, and we had another chance to score another goal, but luck wasn't on our side today."

Regarding Chelsea's disciplinary issues with the red cards received by the team's players this season: "We have talked about this matter, and it has been raised several times. Each time it's a different player, not the same one. We need to internally review the situation and continue to improve. It is a problem, as we play in the strongest league in the world. Whether you're playing against top teams or those at the bottom, an 11 vs. 11 match is tough, and an 11 vs. 10 match is much harder regardless of the opponent's identity."

He concluded, "I have no doubt in the team and the coaching staff. We weren't fortunate today, but we need to reorganize and try again."
