The Gulf Faces the Union Without King and Schenckfield in Round 24
The coaching staff of the Saudi club Al-Khaleej, led by coach Georgios Donis, received a double blow ahead of their match against Al-Ittihad in the 24th round of the Saudi Professional League, scheduled for next Friday at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
The "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper announced that Norwegian Joshua King, the striker for Al-Khaleej, will miss the match due to a muscle injury, alongside his teammate, Dutch defender Bart Schenkeveld, which poses a challenge for the coaching staff in facing Al-Ittihad.
King's absence follows his missing of his team's last match against Al-Khulood in the tenth round. The Gulf striker tops the team's scoring list with 14 goals, which underscores the importance of compensating for his absence in the match against Al-Ittihad to ensure the team's offensive strength.
On the other hand, the match will see the return of Greek player Dimitrios Kourbelis after missing the game against Al-Khulood due to an accumulation of yellow cards, providing Gulf with important defensive support ahead of the crucial Friday encounter.
