Emam Ashour enters the sights of Al Ittihad in January Transfare
Saudi reports reveal new moves by Al Ittihad Club to sign Emam Ashour, midfielder of Al Ahly FC and the Egypt national team, during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to the sports newspaper 'Al-Wi'am', Emam Ashour's name has returned to the considerations of Al Ahly FC, as part of the club's plan to reinforce its squad with new signings when the Transfare market opens on January 1.
The Saudi club's management is considering all details regarding the player, preparing to make a decision on submitting an official offer to Al Ahly FC for his services.
Saudi interest in Emam Ashour continues despite his recent contract extension with Al Ahly FC until 2030.
In another context, Islam Gamal, the personal trainer of the player, revealed that he has been suffering from pain in the adductor muscle and inflammation in the pelvis, confirming that he has endured the injury during the past period to continue participating with Al Ahly FC.
Jamal stated in television remarks that Emam Ashour insisted on playing in matches despite his physical struggles, which began since he participated with the Egypt national team in the FIFA World Cup 2026, and affected his condition.
He explained that the player may appear normal while running on the pitch, but signs of imbalance become apparent when executing certain movements or turns, which is not evident during regular running.
The player's coach added that he sent all the details regarding his physical condition to the fitness planner at Al Ahly FC, but he has not received any response yet.
