Sharahili nears return to Ittihad defence after international break
Ahmed Sharahili, Al-Ittihad's defender, is close to regaining his place within the team after completing his rehabilitation program and regaining his fitness, preparing for a return to participation following the international break.
The return of the international defender is expected to be an addition to Al-Ittihad's defense, as coach Jens Vissing will have a new option to support his squad during the upcoming matches after the break.
Ahmed Sharahili suffered a tear in the long fibular tendon in his left ankle at the beginning of July while undergoing an individual physical preparation program under the supervision of his personal trainer.
The injury occurred in an area where the player has never previously suffered from muscular issues or joint injuries, leading him to begin a rehabilitation journey away from participating with the Tigers.
The Al-Ittihad defender has previously overcome an ACL injury and underwent surgery, before gradually regaining his form during last season, participating in 20 official matches across various competitions.
Ahmed Sharahili's last appearance for Ittihad was on May 4, before he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out. He is now nearing a return to the pitch.
