Juventus Moves to Sign Sensi Amid Barcelona's Watchful Eye
Friday 20-02-2026
The newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' revealed that Juventus has begun to make a formal offer to contract with the Argentine defender Marcos Sensi, whose contract with Bournemouth expires at the end of June next year.

According to the Italian newspaper, Sensi is considered the top target on Juventus's list, despite the presence of other names being considered. The club is preparing an offer that includes a contract extending from three to four years, with an annual salary ranging between four and five million euros, in addition to performance-related variables.

The interest of major clubs in the player comes amid a scarcity of left-footed defenders in the summer 2026 market, a position that receives special attention from several European clubs. It is noted that Barcelona currently does not include a pure left defender in its formation, after the departure of Inigo Martinez at the beginning of the season, which led coach Hans Flick to employ Gerard Martin in this position before the player recently returned to his natural position.

Reports from 'TEAMtalk' also indicated that Sensi's entourage has not ruled out his move to Barcelona, confirming that the Catalan club remains an option to be considered. The player's status as an experienced left defender, along with the possibility of acquiring him without a transfer fee, are factors that give him an advantage when deciding his future next summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is experiencing a period of anticipation on the institutional level, with the approach of the elections scheduled for March 15, leading to a delay in major decisions, despite the team's continued competition in the league, the King's Cup, and the Champions League.
