Officially: Tottenham Announces Signing of Marcos Senesi

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club officially announced the signing of Argentine defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Bournemouth. He will join the team starting from July 1st after completing international clearance procedures. The club also confirmed that the player will wear the number 5 jersey.

Senesi said: "It is a very special feeling to be a player for Tottenham Hotspur. From the very first moment, the club showed why they wanted to sign me and how eager they were for me to be part of what they are building. This is very exciting, and I can't wait to be involved. Every time I step onto the pitch, I will do my utmost to make the fans proud and to restore the club to the position it deserves. I want to win titles with Tottenham, and I will do everything I can to achieve that."

The sporting director, Johan Lange, said: "Markus is a defender who combines quality, intelligence, and leadership. His experience at the highest levels, his composure in possession, and his desire to compete for every ball make him a perfect addition to the way we want to play. We are pleased with his joining the club and believe this is the ideal place for him at this stage of his career."

For his part, coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "Marcus's experience and quality in handling the ball, along with his competitive spirit, will give us additional strength defensively and provide us with greater flexibility in tactical plans.
