Saleh Gomaa: Imam Ashour Feels Wronged and Wants to Be Appreciated Materially and Morally
Saleh Gomaa, the former Al Ahly star, revealed that Imam Ashour, the red team's player, feels unfairly treated at the club and prefers to be dealt with better than the current situation.
Saleh Gomaa said in statements on "MBC Masr 2" channel: "I was with Imam yesterday, we were having dinner, we talked to him and he makes some decisions in a reverse manner as happened with us and it affected us."
He continued: "Imam has some personal ambitions that he doesn't talk about in the media. He aspires to achieve something specific in the club and wishes for it to happen with him."
He explained: "He believes he is being treated unfairly and that he is the best player in Egypt, far superior to the other players, both financially and for other reasons. He prefers to be treated better than the current situation and to have a meeting with him."
He continued: "He believes he is delivering good performance, and he has offers with good sums. He is looking to his future, which is a legitimate right. I think the financial aspect is the decisive factor in the current crisis."
He added, "I asked him not to be stubborn with the fans, because this has happened with several players before, and the fans see the team as the sole star before any individual player."
