Fernando Hidalgo, the agent of Argentine forward Julian Alvarez, denied the reports claiming there had been any communication or meeting with the management of Barcelona during the current period.

Hidalgo stated in a press release: "It is not true, I have not met with Deco (Barcelona's sporting director) or with anyone from Barcelona at the moment."

The player's agent added: "Any club interested in signing Julian should contact Atletico Madrid's management directly, as the player is under a formal contract and is committed to it."

It is noted that Julián Álvarez is under contract with Atlético Madrid until the summer of 2030, while the Argentine striker is attracting interest from several major European clubs, led by Arsenal.
