Kylian Mbappé is preparing to participate with Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, after missing the last two matches due to a knee injury. However, his coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed that he is ready for the game.

Mbappé has played in nine previous matches against Barcelona, during which he scored 12 goals and provided one assist, netting crucial goals in various competitions, including La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.

Mbappé first shone against the Catalan team by scoring a hat-trick with Paris Saint-Germain in the 2021 UEFA Champions League at Camp Nou, before scoring another goal in the return leg to help his team advance to the quarter-finals.

In the Spanish league, he scored a hat-trick in May 2025 despite Real Madrid's 4-3 loss, and scored the winning goal in October 2025 during a 2-1 victory, with another goal disallowed and a penalty denied, confirming his significant impact in El Clásico matches.

Not all of his matches against Barcelona were successful; his goal was disallowed in his first appearance in the October 2024 Clasico, which ended in a 4-0 loss. He also scored in the January 2025 Super Cup final, but his team lost 5-2, and he scored again in the April 2025 Copa del Rey final, which ended in a 3-2 defeat.

Mbappé aims to continue his outstanding performance against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, to strengthen his record and add more goals against the Catalan team, which is in its best form this season.
