Mohamed Hamdy, a star player of the Egyptian national team, commented on his ACL injury sustained during the round of 16 match against Benin in the Africa Cup of Nations, which ended with the Pharaohs winning 3-1 and advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Mohamed Hamdy wrote on his Instagram account today, Tuesday: "Praise be to God for everything. It's a frustrating injury at a difficult time. I really wanted to continue in the tournament, be on the field with the national team until the end of the competition, and contribute to winning the championship."

The star of the Egyptian national team added: "But thank God for everything. I will be there supporting my teammates on the national team and cheering for them alongside our great fans."

Hamdy concluded his message by saying: "Thank you for all the support I've seen from you since yesterday. God willing, the comeback will be stronger soon, and most importantly, we will celebrate the Egyptian national team and make our fans happy."
