Tareq Asseyd: Al Ahly FC are not contenders for the league title
Tareq Asseyd, the former Zamalek SC player, believes that current circumstances exclude Al Ahly FC from being among the top contenders for the Egyptian League title this season. He explained that the surrounding conditions do not give the team absolute advantage compared to its rivals in the competition.
Tareq Asseyd said in his statements via Mega FM: "No one diminishes the value of Al Ahly FC, but the data suggests that Al Ahly FC is not a contender for the league."
He added: "It is possible for Al Ahly FC to win against Pyramids FC, but I see that the data suggests Pyramids FC will win the match and win the Egyptian League."
Tareq Asseyd stated that Al Ahly FC's management bears part of the responsibility for the recent crises faced by the team, pointing out that the decisions related to selecting coaching staff and signing new players were among the main factors that led to the decline in conditions within the Red Castle.
