Laporta praises Flick and his role in Barcelona's success.
Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona, praised the award received by German coach Hans Flick at the Globe Soccer Awards 2025 ceremony held in Dubai, which he accepted on Flick's behalf, emphasizing that the coach plays a pivotal role in the team's successes.
Laporta said: "It is a great honor and a special feeling to receive the Hans Flick Award. He is a true professional who conveys his passion and enthusiasm to the players both on and off the field."
The president of Barcelona added: "Flick's success is the result of his work and that of the medical staff. His quick integration with the club and the city was also a key factor. He has a great team and demonstrates a high level of sensitivity in his dealings with the players, which is clearly reflected in the team's performance."
Laporta continued discussing the technical aspects, saying: "Throughout the season, we applied very high pressure, and the offside trap worked excellently. Although things have become more difficult recently, we are still leading the league table, and we hope to repeat what we achieved last season and add a little more to it."
The club president continued: "We learned an important lesson in the Champions League, but in La Liga, where the competition lasted until the very end, we beat Real Madrid five times, which was exceptional. The players showed their talent and full commitment to Barcelona."
Regarding the toughest periods of the season, Laporta said: "I cherish every moment, especially the difficult ones where the team showed its strong character, like the phase we went through in November."
Laporta concluded his statements by talking about the Spotify Camp Nou stadium, saying: "Camp Nou is the dream of Barcelona fans and a stadium that has witnessed the greatest matches in football history. The stadium gives players a significant morale boost, and returning to it represents pride and honor for everyone who belongs to this club."
