Real Madrid Identifies Dani Carvajal's Replacement
Thursday 25-12-2025
Reports revealed that Real Madrid has officially started moving to find a suitable successor for the right-back Dani Carvajal, who is nearing the end of his journey with the team as his contract approaches expiration next summer and he reaches 34 years of age, amid his recurring injuries over recent seasons, according to the website "Fichajes."

The report clarified that Real Madrid's management values Carvajal's significant history as one of the symbols of the club's golden era, but sports planning necessitates accelerating the process of replacement and renewal in the right-back position, especially with his declining ability to maintain top-level performance.

The same source indicated that Carvajal's future is likely to move away from Santiago Bernabeu, with increasing possibilities of transferring to the Qatari league, which is considered a strong option due to the financial stability it offers and the lower competitive pressure, allowing him to extend his professional career.

Conversely, the report mentioned that Real Madrid has placed the name Alex Jiménez, a graduate of the club's academy, as the first choice to succeed Carvajal, especially after the impressive levels the player is currently showing with Bournemouth in the English Premier League, where he belongs to AC Milan and is playing on loan this season.

The report confirmed that the deal is suitable both technically and economically, as Jiménez's market value is about 18 million euros, making his return a strategic option that allows Real Madrid to conclude the Carvajal phase without entering into expensive deals, while ensuring a gradual and stable transition in the right-back position.
