Thursday 04-12-2025
Walid Salah El-Din, the football director of Al Ahly Club, revealed the latest developments regarding the contract renewal file for five of the team's players: Hussein El Shahat, Ahmed Abdelkader, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, the Malian Aliou Dieng, and Ahmed Abdin, whose contracts with the Red Castle expire at the end of the current season. This comes amid circulating reports about Al Ahly's moves to maintain its core squad ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.

Walid Salah El-Din stated in remarks to Al-Nahar channel that he has not held any meetings with the mentioned players recently, emphasizing that all reports about the management negotiating with them to extend their contracts are inaccurate. He stressed that the management is handling this matter based on a comprehensive technical and administrative vision, not on media speculation.

The Director of Football at Al Ahly Club added that the management has not received any official offers to sign any player from the team during the recent period, emphasizing that the atmosphere within the club is marked by strong discipline and focus on the upcoming competitions, whether in the Egyptian league or continental tournaments.

Earlier media reports indicated that the Malian player Aliou Dieng wanted to receive two million dollars annually to renew his contract, while Al Ahly's offer stopped at one and a half million dollars, with no final agreement reached so far.
