Deco said about ter Stegen's future: "With ter Stegen, the first priority is recovery. He is a player under contract with us, and what he needs is to be available to play. After that, the coach's decisions come into play."

Deco continued: "Ter Stegen may remain the team's third goalkeeper until the end of the season because his injury pushed the team to expedite the goalkeeper replacement plan after signing Juan Garcia."

Deco added regarding the possibility of allowing ter Stegen to leave in order to participate in the World Cup: "First, we have to understand the context, and when he is available, he will certainly look for opportunities to play."

Deco continued talking about the team's plans in the winter market, saying: "When we think about the current team, the focus was first on renewing players to ensure future stability. Deco pointed out: "Regarding the January market, it is difficult to find players of the same quality as the previous ones, and the current team does not need anyone additional."

On the possibility of Lionel Messi's return, Deco said: "I don't think that is possible because he is under contract with Inter Miami until 2028. He is a great player and still capable of contributing, but the subject is not up for discussion at the moment."

Deco continued: "Leo will leave an impact throughout his life. For me, he is the best player in the club's history, alongside Johan."
