Hoeneß: What Happened with Barcelona Doesn't Happen Anywhere Else
Uli Hoeneß, honorary president of the German club Bayern Munich, expressed his great surprise that Barcelona continues to play in the Spanish first division despite all the financial crises that have struck the club.
Hoeneß stated: "Barcelona is not the model I envision for myself; in any other country, they wouldn't have participated in the first division league for long."
He added: "When you have a debt of 1.3 billion euros, how is this supposed to succeed?"
He added, "Honestly, it's incomprehensible how they are still playing in the first division at all."
