Chelsea star Reece James spoke to the press after the 2-2 draw against Qarabağ in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage, at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.

The player said, "It's really a disappointing result. When we came here, we wanted to win. We felt strong in our play, but we made two mistakes that led to a penalty and a goal we gifted them, and after that, it was hard to get back into the game. Their fans were amazing tonight. The pitch was tough, but we expected that and we didn't fully adapt to it."

He added regarding Karabakh's return to the match: "Two mistakes led to two goals, and it's difficult when the momentum of the game shifts. We simply didn't put in enough effort. We had some opportunities that we didn't take advantage of, and we can only blame ourselves."

Regarding whether the defense's performance should be improved: "If you look at the goals we conceded [this season], they weren't the result of great play, but rather due to our mistakes, and that's something we need to minimize."

He concluded his remarks about Estefao: "He is an amazing player. The world is at his fingertips. It's clear that he is still young, so we need to protect him and keep him healthy. He still has a lot of room to develop, but we are very happy to have him here."
