Alonso: We Will Form a Good Team, and I Can't Say Anything About Real Madrid

The Spanish coach Xabi Alonso made statements about taking over the management of Chelsea with a four-year contract, expressing his great enthusiasm to start his new project with the London team.

Alonso said in an interview with the Spanish program "El Chiringuito TV" about coaching Chelsea: "It's a great project, I am excited and ready to start working, I am very happy."

The Spanish coach commented on the links between several Chelsea players and other clubs, such as Barcelona's interest in player Joao Pedro, along with other clubs monitoring the future of players like Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella, saying: "Well... this is football, we will form a good team."

Regarding the sudden emergence of the option to coach Chelsea: "Yes, yes... It came up quickly, and it's a very good option. One is always open to opportunities... and it's a beautiful project."

In conclusion, the coach refused to comment on Real Madrid, saying: "No, no, no... I can't say anything."

Alonso took over as coach of Real Madrid last summer following Carlo Ancelotti's departure, but he was dismissed last January due to poor results and issues that arose between him and some of the team's stars.
