Joao Pedro, aged 24, is one of the names on Barcelona's list to strengthen the striker position, following the confirmed departure of Robert Lewandowski from the team, after a career during which he scored 119 goals in 192 matches wearing the Catalan club's jersey.
The report indicated that the player's representative arrived in the English capital, London, coming from Brazil, to hold meetings with Chelsea's management, in addition to a meeting with Deco, the sporting director of Barcelona, amid the Spanish club's interest in signing the player, especially with the difficulty of contracting Julian Alvarez.
During his appearance on the show El Chiringuito, Xabi Alonso responded to a question about the possibility of Joao Pedro moving to Barcelona by saying: 'Well, this is football, and we will build a good team.'
