Barcelona continues to shine offensively under the leadership of German Hans Flick, having become the highest-scoring team in the Champions League since Flick took over in 2024, with a total of 52 goals in the continental competition, surpassing all European clubs, including the defending champion Paris Saint-Germain, as confirmed by the newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo.'

Barcelona is preparing to face Club Brugge on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, in a match where the Catalan team seeks to enter the top eight in the overall standings, currently sitting in ninth place with six points after three rounds, during which they won against Newcastle 2-1 and Olympiacos 6-1, while losing to Paris Saint-Germain 2-1. Barcelona hopes to continue its positive results against Club Brugge, which it has never lost to, achieving three victories and one draw.

The newspaper pointed out that the team under Flick has achieved 50 consecutive matches in which they scored goals in all competitions, a new record in the club's history, surpassing the previous record set in 1944 of 44 consecutive matches without a scoring drought.

In the current edition of the Champions League, Barcelona has scored 9 goals so far, behind Paris Saint-Germain with 13 goals and Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund with 12 goals each. Since Flick took charge of the team in Europe, between the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons, Barcelona has scored 52 goals (43 last season and 9 this season), surpassing Paris Saint-Germain, which scored 44 goals (31 and 13 respectively) in the same period.

The report added that Barcelona was among the four teams that reached the semifinals of the tournament last season, before being eliminated by Inter Milan, which later lost in the final, with the Italian team having scored 26 goals at that time, adding 9 new goals this season to reach a total of 35 goals, while Arsenal scored 31 goals last season and 8 goals this season to reach 39 goals, and Real Madrid reached a total of 31 goals over the two seasons.

With these numbers, Barcelona confirms that under Flick's leadership, it is experiencing one of its most powerful and impactful offensive periods in Europe.
