Union Faces Absences Before the Clash with Al-Hilal in Roshan League
Thursday 23-10-2025
The Saudi Union team is facing a significant absence crisis before the classic match against Al-Hilal on Friday evening, as part of the sixth round of the Saudi Roshan League, with the absence of four key players confirmed from the lineup.

Sources revealed to "Al-Riyadiyah" that the coaching staff, led by Portuguese Sergio Conceição, has excluded Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud, Roger Fernandes, Hassan Kadhesh, and Muath Faqihi due to their lack of physical readiness or due to various injuries they are experiencing.

Al-Aboud is absent due to a severe jaw injury he sustained while participating with the Saudi national team about two weeks ago, while Faqihi is suffering from an ankle injury he sustained during the match against Al-Fayha in the last round of the league.

As for defender Hassan Kadhesh, he continues to follow a special program to reduce physical strain after feeling fatigued, while Portuguese winger Roger Fernandes has not fully recovered from the injury he suffered during the match against Al-Shorta of Iraq in the AFC Champions League.

The four players conducted their rehabilitation programs at the club's headquarters on Thursday, under the supervision of the medical staff, in preparation for their return to collective training after the anticipated clash against Al-Hilal.

The match will be held at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, where the Union enters the match with 10 points in fifth place, behind Al-Hilal with 11 points, in a strong battle to continue competing at the top of the Saudi Roshan League.
