Samirville defends joining Al-Hilal: "It wasn't just about the money"

Chrisensio Summerville, the Dutch winger of Al-Hilal, has disclosed that his transfer to the Saudi Pro League was not driven by money alone, emphasizing that the club's project and vision for the future played a significant role in his decision.

Samerville has joined Al-Hilal from West Ham during the summer transfer window, in a deal worth around €76 million, despite interest from several European clubs in his services.

Samerville stated that the negotiations with Al-Hilal attracted him, explaining: "Of course, you talk about the details of the contract, but it represented the complete and ideal picture for me."

The Dutch winger had trials with Leeds United and West Ham, scoring five goals in 31 matches in the Premier League last season, before Al-Hilal secured the deal.

Samerville has confirmed his commitment to his European ambitions, stating: "I work with my personal coach according to a joint plan, and the goal is to become one of the best players in Europe one day."
