Kanno: We aim to settle the Semi-Final of Gulf 27 in regular time
Mohamed Kanno, a player for the Saudi Arabia national team, has stressed the readiness of the 'Green' to face the United Arab Emirates in the Semi-Final of Gulf Cup 27, confirming that the players are aiming to clinch their fourth Gulf title.
Mohamed Kanno stated in the press conference: "Reaching this stage was one of our ambitions", noting that the national team overcame Qatar on penalties in the Semi-Final.
The player explained that penalties are linked to luck, adding that fortune was on Saudi Arabia's side against Qatar, but he emphasized that the goal is to settle the Semi-Final in regular time.
Mohamed Kanno highlighted the players' commitment to the coaching staff's instructions, emphasizing the strength of the United Arab Emirates national team. He also praised the Saudi fans for their role during the match against Qatar in the Semi-Final.
He said: "The fans did not hold back in the last match, and they were like the 12th player," wishing for their strong attendance tomorrow and continued support until the end of the Semi-Final.
Saudi Arabia face the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday evening at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, aiming for their fourth Gulf title in the history of 'Al-Akhdar'.
