Flaović Returns to Barcelona's Radar to Succeed Lewandowski
Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed that FC Barcelona has reopened discussions regarding the signing of Serbian striker Dušan Flaović, a player for Juventus, to be the successor to Polish star Robert Lewandowski, whose contract with the Catalan team ends at the end of the current season.
According to the newspaper, the club's sporting director, Deco, had contacted the player's agent, Darko Ristić, last August to inquire about his position on continuing with Juventus, especially as his contract approaches its end in the summer of 2026.
The report added that negotiations for renewal between Juventus and Flaović are currently stalled, as the player is considering leaving Serie A for a new experience, but he does not intend to leave his team during the winter transfer window, preferring to wait until the end of the season to be free to sign with any club.
Flaović, who is 26 years old, is one of the top strikers in Europe, having scored 4 goals and provided an assist in 8 matches with Juventus this season.
The newspaper indicated that Barcelona is closely monitoring the player's situation in preparation for a move next summer, especially since signing him would be a free transfer if he does not renew his contract, making him an attractive option to strengthen the attacking line following the expected departure of Lewandowski.
