Martinez: Barcelona's Defense is Well Secured
Inigo Martinez, defender of Al-Nassr Club, spoke about the frequent discussions among people that Barcelona is not in a good position, confirming that they are still only two points away, and that the league is very long.
Martinez said in an interview with Radio 'COPE': 'Last season, there were also these complications in the defense line; there are matches where things go better and others where they go worse, but I see it similar to what happened last season.'
He continued: 'It's not because I was there or I'm no longer there, never, Barcelona, with or without Inigo Martinez, I believe its defense line is well secured, but as I said, sometimes things go well and sometimes they don't.'
When asked if Barcelona lacks a leader in the dressing room, he replied: 'I don't think that's what Barcelona's dressing room is missing; when I was there, there were other players too, and when the moment required it, they would step up and speak out and raise their voices, and they are still there.'
He concluded: 'I don't really think that's the problem; my nature has always pushed me, when I need to be present or raise my voice to reprimand someone, to do that, there's no problem with it at all, as long as you know how to do it the right way.'
