The Egyptian Al-Ahly club is close to officially announcing the signing of Danish coach Thomas Tomasberg, the former coach of Midtjylland, to take over as the head coach of the first team in the upcoming period.

According to sources, the Al-Ahly management, led by Mahmoud El-Khatib, has successfully reached a final agreement with Tomasberg to coach the team for two years until 2027, succeeding the Spanish coach José Ribeiro.

The sources revealed that coach Tomasberg will receive a monthly salary with Al-Ahly, estimated at 220 thousand dollars per month.

The Danish coach is expected to arrive in Cairo after the summit match against Zamalek, specifically next Wednesday, to sign the contracts and officially announce the agreement with the coach.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Zamalek this evening in a match that will take place at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
