The Ghanaian team Asante Kotoko has qualified for the second preliminary round of the African Confederation Cup after winning against their Nigerian host Kwara United with a score of one goal to none in the return match played today, Sunday, in Nigeria.

The Ghanaian team had achieved an important victory in the first leg in the city of Kumasi with a score of four goals to three, thus concluding the two-legged tie in their favor with a result of (5-3).

With this qualification, Asante Kotoko sets a strong date with the Moroccan Wydad Athletic Club in the next round, where the Ghanaian team will host their opponent Wydad in the first leg on one of the days 17, 18, or 19 October 2025, while the return match will be played in Casablanca between the 24th and 26th of the same month.
